Fantastic work! So small but you can definitely tell who is who even if they aren't in order. Same goes to the bottom row!

I like em all but... SMITH! SMITH! SMITH! SMITH!

I also like Tennant, he was my first Doctor! I started on NuWho with 10 and since he's been there for long I thought I was going to miss him a lot once 11 took over but man... Smith and Moffat work just so damn brilliant that I didn't feel the need to look back.

Can't wait for the next 2 rows man!

I do miss Tennant, but I think Smith is one of the best doctors in years!
He brings a lot of subtlety to the role, and looks like a friendly easter island statue!

These are great. I'm not usually fond of such an overly cute style but these are so well defined and you've even done monsters I haven't got around to yet. Really nice work.

Davros is in my little pile of failed attempts I need to get back to at some point. Kandy Man was a bitch to pixel, or at least the way I do them. So glad I got him out of the way. Yeah you should do him even because it'll make me smile to see such a controversial one-off villain get not one but two spriters having pixelled him. =)

"The Happyness Patrol" was one of the first who stories I ever saw, I remember the Kandy Man being really scary to me as a kid.
Theres so many monsters to choose from really, I want to attempt the giant robot some time, or some of the other one-offs like Pyroviles or Judoon.

Heh, there is something still somewhat unsettling about the Kandy Man despite the fact he's designed to look like a bunch of giant sweets stuck together. I was rewatching The Happiness Patrol a few weeks ago (and is why there's a pink 1980's TARDIS in my gallery now) and still enjoy it.

I've been tempted to do some Judoon. Probably will get more motivated once the new series 3 of the Character Building lego-type figures are released as there are Judoon in that range (with helmets and without) and having some of them lil guys on my desk probably will inspire me to sprite them my way.

You've done some monsters I hadn't even considered. Slitheen are not one of my favorite monsters but thinking about it, pixelling them could be pretty fun with their chunky green bodies and large arms/claws and eyes.

Slitheen are definatly not my favourites at all. The transitions between their costume form and computer rendered form were a bit inconvincing, given how much more agile they suddenly become as CGI (Though trying to run in that costume would probably just look awkward and stupid)

They do have a really fun body shape though, spriting it was really fun.
I may even do the absorbaloff at some point, even if he is from one of the worst episodes ever.

I think my main issue with the Slitheen was all the 'fart' stuff Davies seemed to think everyone would find really amusing. Even my niece rolled her eyes at that. I definitely will pixel one though as they don't fall under my short "never want to sprite" list. And I like the fact that even though they seem a bit silly there's something really damn twisted about the fact they skin people and wear the skin. Even in the supposedly more child-friendly Sarah Jane Adventures it's more disturbing because there's a child Slitheen and to have it's disguise (it has two of them) it must have killed and skinned human kids.

Hey, funny you mention the Absorbaloff. At one point I felt like pixelling Elton happily embracing his now paving slab girlfriend with a little heart above their heads as a Valentine's sprite. =p

I haven't watched much of the sarah jane adventures, but it is a very grim concept indeed!
I suppose you could assume that the slitheen fashioned a synthetic child costume, given that it may not have needed to impersonate anyone in particular.

That actually sounds rather sweet despite the incredibaly silly idea. The line "We even have a bit of a love life" was...uncomfortable.

The glorious, beautiful sex I've never had.

Similarly I will never be able to do this. Great job!

DAWW! These are perfect!

One question, though: Why is the 9th Doctor's expression so neutral?

I could write an incredibly long essay listing a bajillion reasons on why I think Smith is the best Doctor in yeeeeears but I won't...cos I hate writing essays. I think it's clear he's my fave just from looking at how many times I've sprited him. Which reminds me... I still haven't sprited Troughton even though I really like him too. Schu has sprited him on our joint Doctor Who sprite website but I haven't yet.

I always find it hard to pick a favourite doctor, Sylvester McCoy was the first one I ever saw, but I really like Peter Davison and Jon Pertwee too. I even like Colin Baker given how he made the most terrible stories enjoyable.

Smith actually reminds me quite a lot of Troughton I can't really put my finger on why though. I wish more of troughtons episodes still existed because what I saw of him was great.

I definatly think you should do Troughton, it feels a little bit incomplete without him there!

Problem with me doing a Troughton one is thinking up a specific pose or item to have him holding. Schu's already done the recorder that the Second Doctor was famous for playing.

Davison and Pertwee are my favorites of the 'Classic' Doctors. And yeah, Smith has said Troughton certainly did influence his own performance and costume when he got the role, listing Tomb of the Cybermen as the serial that really got him inspired. Smith also reminds me of other Doctors at times. His fiddling about with gadgets and circuits reminds me of Pertwee as does the part in the Sarah Jane Adventures story Death of the Doctor where he's sat there with Jo and they're reconnecting after all those years and to me it's like the ghost of Pertwee is there smiling through Smith's face. I could just be over-imagining it but it works for me. =)

I always think that each doctor is made up of bits of their predecesors, Smith does this brilliantly as well as being incredibaly subtle about it too. I almost feel that he may not be able to be topped actually, so i hope he'll keep the part for a long time.

As for Patrick, you could always sprite him wearing his fur coat!
